Helping the Family

Kingdom Rain Family sends our most sincere sympathy to Aden and Kylie McReynolds, and to Tony and Sasha McReynolds, Adison, and Tyler, our Missouri KRIM family.

In mid-October, Aden and Kylie joyfully announced they were expecting a beautiful child. Our family and the KRIM community celebrated with them as we looked ahead to an early summer arrival.

In December, family and friends surrounded Aden and Kylie with prayer, presence, and support as their precious baby boy, Derrick James McReynolds, was born prematurely and into the arms of Jesus on December 29, 2025.

The Kingdom Rain Family would like to extend an opportunity for those who feel led to pray,  to send a card, a financial seed, or a gift card to help assist with these unexpected expenses.

Kylie writes this poem for their baby Derrick-

When a life leaves so swift and too soon

Fleeting quickly as the setting moon

It leaves behind this cruel world of hate,

And is welcomed straight to Heavens gate

It leaves behind a future yet untold,

And joins together with ancestors of old

It leaves behind a mother empty within,

But is taken to Jesus’s arms therein,

It leaves behind a father, not ready to let go,

But its only in darkness that the stars will show,

When a life leaves so swift and too soon,

All hope and joy was slaughtered and hewn,

Jesus comforts those who has lost a love

Knowing soon they too will meet up above

To a mother, a father, family and friend

There’s hope for morning even when a life ends,

It shines through the stars when darkness falls,

And paints a sunset red when a storm withdraws

It’s a new butterfly, born only through pain

And only a memory of love does this life remain.

—Kylie McReynolds

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”

Psalms 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

 Sasha McReynolds writes:

I was able to hold, love, grieve, and praise the Lord Almighty for one of the most precious gifts in the whole world. I watched as a young momma was able to brave, love, endure, and grieve in one of the hardest moments of life.

I watched as a young man did all these also, while still being the most amazing husband to his sweet bride—stewarding, guiding, and loving her so well.

I watched as these two parents put trust in the hope for a future, yet grieved the future of Derrick James. They have been steadfast, rooted in a firm foundation. They have been God-fearing and are embraced by God’s goodness and faithfulness.

I watched as these moments went by, witnessing that God our Father, our Abba, was there in every moment. He was answering the prayers that we ourselves couldn’t pray—the ones others prayed for us. His faithfulness prevailed in every moment. He went before us and after us. He blanketed us with His great grace.

In these hard moments, I got the privilege to watch Adison and Tyler rise to the occasion and use every gift that God has placed in them. It is hard to express in words what they were able to be for Aden and Kylie.

I watched as Kylie’s siblings, who though they were not quite able to fathom the loss, brought great joy and comfort. They were amazing.

I saw, in the hardest of moments, that the family surrounding Aden and Kylie were a wonderful gift from God—for such a time as this.
